Ready to get started? Register for one of our upcoming workshops! We cover a range of sustainability topics, offering something for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your knowledge.

‘Minecraft IRL’ workshop, October 9

Join us on October 9th, 2025 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Queen Creek Public Library for a free cardboard building and sculpting workshop, where you can create anything you can dream of! Registration required. Space is limited. 

SciTech Festival in Surprise on November 22nd from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

An interactive experience available to participants in the form of a ‘Curiosity Cabinet’ theme featuring nature specimens such as flower petals, minerals and bugs preserved in tiny glass jars; nature books, etc. We will have magnifying glasses available and an area where participants can write or draw about what they noticed or wondered.

‘Crafty Planet Protector’ Monthly series every 2nd thursday

The Crafty Planet Protectors series is a tween-focused program at the Queen Creek Library for ages 8-12 that teaches planet-friendly crafting through activities like upcycled terrarium workshops. You can find upcoming event dates and register for this and other events on the Town of Queen Creek’s website or by checking the event calendar for the Queen Creek Library

Through our Waste Free Certification program, we offer compost pickup services for businesses ready to go green. Our Waste Free Academy hosts hands-on workshops in composting, gardening, art, and sustainability for kids and adults.
